Challenge
Transform the original beauty portrait into a more refined and editorial image while preserving the model’s natural skin texture and facial character. The challenge was to elevate the makeup, tonal structure and overall color palette without allowing the retouching to overpower the photography or create an artificial beauty finish.
Retouching
The portrait was refined through detailed tonal correction, non-destructive skin work and controlled Dodge & Burn to improve transitions while retaining natural texture. The eye makeup was reshaped and enhanced with a richer violet palette, complemented by subtle refinements to the lips, eyebrows and facial highlights. Hair, jewelry and edge details were carefully balanced, while the background and overall color grading were developed into a deeper editorial palette. Final tonal sculpting unified the face, neck and shoulder while maintaining depth, texture and a natural photographic finish.
